Sole onshore sponsor and financial advisor and joint offshore financial advisor to China COSCO Holdings Company Limited on its RMB34.6 billion acquisition of dry bulk shipping assets from China Ocean Shipping Group. The deal was the largest restructuring-driven acquisition on A-share market. In conjunction with the acquisition, CICC acted as sole sponsor (lead underwriter) to COSCO on its RMB11.37 billion A-share private placement. China COSCO became the world's largest listed shipping company in terms of market value post offering and acquisition.
