Established in 1995 as the first joint venture investment bank in China, China International Capital Corporation Limited (CICC) is a leader in providing comprehensive financial services including investment banking, capital markets, institutional and individual securities sales and trading, fixed income, asset management, private equity, individual wealth management and research.

China International Capital Corporation Limited (CICC) was established in July 1995 as a strategic partnership among prestigious Chinese and international financial institutions. CICC has a registered capital of US$125 million.

CICC’s goal is to become a China-based international investment bank. It has expanded from its headquarters in Beijing to strategic locations such as Shanghai, and currently has 15 securities brokerage branches in cities such as Beijing, Shanghai and Shenzhen. In line with increasing business diversity, the company is actively expanding overseas while consolidating its Chinese base in Hong Kong, New York, Singapore and London.

1996	CICC obtained Membership of the Shanghai Stock Exchange
1997	China International Capital Corporation (Hong Kong) Limited established CICC obtained Membership of the Shenzhen Stock Exchange; CICC's completion of first major project: overseas IPO of China Telecom (Hong Kong) (now China Mobile), raising US$4.2 billion
1998	CICC Hong Kong Securities Limited starts operations
2000	CICC Shanghai branch starts operations
2002	CICC approved to establish securities branches in Beijing, Shanghai and Shenzhen
2004	CICC among the first group to be qualified as sponsoring institutions
2005	China International Capital Corporation Hong Kong Asset Management Limited established CICC approved to set up collective investment scheme: CICC Short-Term Debt
2007	CICC recognised as an AA securities firm in category A by CSRC, and has kept the rating to date CICC US Securities, Inc. obtained licences from FINRA and SEC (US) CICC approved to initiate private equity business CICC Jia Cheng Investment Management Company Ltd set up CICC made significant breakthroughs in the fixed income market.
